Postdoc research stay at Norwegian Institute for Water Research

Between November 2nd and December 7th, our postdoctoral researcher Gert Everaert performs a research stay at the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). The Niva is a non-profit research foundation with about 200 employees which researches, monitors and assesses freshwater, coastal and marine environments and environmental technology. Working areas include environmental contaminants, biodiversity and climate related issues. Gert will collaborate closely with the scientific staff of the section ‘Contaminants in the aquatic environment’ in order to increase the understanding of how changes in discharges, as modulated by climate change and other environmental factors, affect the contaminant loading in Norwegian coastal ecosystems. The research stay is supported by a travel grant of the ‘Fonds voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek  (FWO)’.
